Well as you state in your article the Ipad might not be that innovative by the first eye sight and the feature you mention.

I think it is very innovativ due to the simplicity, ease of use, nice design etc. And most of all, it's a new combination of a technoly into a "platform" that enables a lot of new possibilities and services over the internet.

This wil take me to A completly different example:
A couple of years ago I bourght a new washing mashine "Moon" from Finish Indesit to my old mom, see link: <a href="http://www.indesit.co.uk/indesit/moon/en_UK/index.jsp;jsessionid=B7F60EC53B33F28120B4179828AAD1FB" rel="nofollow">http://www.indesit.co.uk/indesit/moon/en_UK/index...</a>

If you think about how "normal" washingmashines has looked the last 50-60 year: Lots of knobs and bottens, a big display, many different programs to chose from, you mostly only use the same one! A soap drawer that get so uckly over time and a big glas hatch so we can see the clothe actually get washed...!!! guess that only 2 year olds and your dog might whatch this program.

Now you see this nice Moon it's the Ipod of washing machines.
It simpli solves all off the problems with old fashion washing machines, it's fairly cheep, and just so easy to operate...

Why did'ent we design whasing mashine like this from the beginning?

It is so damm difficult to make and keep it simple and easy to use.

That what Appel have succeded to do at the moment.
